I am a Physical Therapist with a unique specialization, passion and experience. My interest in neurology started long before I even knew I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. As a teenager growing up in Vancouver, Canada, I volunteered at a local pediatric brain injury center. As a result of my experiences there, I thought I would pursue research and study neurology. I wanted to help individuals like the children I worked with at the center. However, as a youth athlete, I soon realized that a lab setting was not something "compatible" with my active-self. Long story short.... I realized I could work on my passion and help those affected by brain injury in an active and compassionate way through Physical Therapy.
Since becoming a Physical Therapist, I have pursued learning and training from/with the best in the field. I truly believe that it is important to learn directly from authors and masters to be highly skilled. I continue to pass this wisdom onto my children these days.
I have over 20+ years of experience, across the entire spectrum of brain injury rehabilitations (from ICU to athletes returning to sport). I have also worked in various settings (private clinics, nursing homes, inpatient acute rehab, hospital outpatient neuro clinic, and in home). My compassion, expertise and skill set has become a badge I wear daily with great pride and I look forward to connecting with you.
